Shaking Off the Shackles of CHEX Systems: Wells Fargo Second Chance Program

Currently, I’m familiar with one banking program offered through Wells Fargo that allows people who are recently going through and completed bankruptcy and are in CHEX Systems to open an account (with an ATM card).

Their offer is simple: they want your business, but for a period of time your account will be restricted and if you comply with the terms of the account (i.e. no bounced checks) you will be allowed to convert to an unrestricted checking and savings account. I applaud Wells Fargo for their foresight since a lot of people find themselves in need of banking services but have been cut off by their prior circumstances. They seem to understand basic business principals of treating the customer fairly and providing strict guidelines that lead to greater business for them.
